1. When Are RedCat Running First Aid courses?

Click on the "Course Availability" link on the left hand navigation menu

2. First Aid; How Much Provision Do I Need Within My Organisation?

Slightly tricky question. The answer...."It Depends." On what? Your own assessment of first aid needs. Things to consider include the number of employees, the likely types and number of injuries, where the employees are located, etc. Click here for more help from the HSE, where you'll find an on-line first aid training needs assessment tool. Alternatively, give us a call!

3. Which Level of Training Is Right for Me?

There are two levels of first aid training that are formally approved by the HSE;

1. Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid At Work.

This is a one day course suitable for smaller/medium sized businbesses with lower risk activities. We now use two Awarding Bodies to deliver this qualification;

Click here for more details from CIEH.

Click here for more details from Highfield Awarding Body fro Compliance (HABC)

2. First Aid At Work

Coming soon; the full 3 day hard core Award!!

4. Beware of Non Approved Courses

There are two things to look for in first aid training;

  1. HSE approved syllabus (i.e. the course content)
  2. An approved award/qualification. Not only does this make sure the syllabus is fully delivered, but the trainer is regulated by an "awarding body" (see our Training FAQs for more information)

We use CIEH and HABC Awards to deliver first aid training, so you can be assured that the content, and our delivery, are closely monitored by a professional body.
