Training tailored to your business
Training is a mandatory part of some Health & Safety requirements, depending on the nature of your business. Management with specific responsibilities can also benefit from a greater understanding of the issues involved.
We deliver a range of frequently needed courses, either bespoke or leading to qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) or Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC). The full current list is below. If you have other needs we find or develop courses to suit any Heath & Safety issue.
RedCat Developed Courses
We can fulfil most customer requests for a "bespoke" course or particular topic. For instance:
- Health and Safety Update/Refresher is an "open," or "public" course, in our Course Availability diary. It's a fun-packed but informative refresher for those with Level 3 or 4 qualifications. It includes the latest issues in health and safety.
- Asbestos Awareness and Identification is an example of a bespoke course we have run "in-house" for an employer
Courses in the Diary can be booked directly. For others, please contact us to discuss your needs. If you have sufficient numbers, we are happy to arrange training at your premises.
"Most Popular" Formal Qualifications;
CIEH Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work A new, one day first aid qualification
CIEH Level 2 Award in the Principles of Manual Handling, a half day theoretical course which, if you attend for a further half day (below), is upgraded to the full
CIEH Level 2 Award in the Principles and Practice of Manual Handling as above, but with an extra half day to put the theory into practice with practical case studies, and experiments
CIEH Certificate in Stress Awareness
CIEH Level 2 Award in the Principles of CoSHH
CIEH or HABC Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace. (This is the old “basic health and safety certificate”, or “Foundation Certificate in Health and Safety”)
CIEH Level 2 or CIEH Level 3 Award in Risk Assessment Not only does this course cover risk assessment, but also what is involved in the application of controls; in other words, that magical target of "health and safety management"
CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in Health and Social Care
CIEH Level 2 Award in Hygiene in Health and Social Care
CIEH or HABC Level 3 Award in Health and Safety
