Training Skills If you want to be able to deliver training yourself, we have a number of courses that will set you on the way and provide the qualifications that you will need, particularly for training in the public sector.
Our skills as trainers have been recognised in the right to deliver courses which give those who have completed the course a recognised teaching qualification.
CIEH Level 3 Award in Training Skills and Practice
TSP is a 3 day training skills course suitable for anyone. Although accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), it is not about training in any particular field; it is just about the training skills themselves, and equipping you with them. It used to be called the Professional Trainers' Certificate (PTC)
If you want to go on and deliver CIEH, RSH or Highfield courses yourself, such as Level 2 Food Safety, this is the minimum training qualification that these Awarding Bodies will normally accept.
Professional Trainers Certificate (PTC) Refresher
If you've completed the PTC in the past, and are looking to freshen up or get some new ideas on how to deliver your training, this RedCat designed 1 day course is for you. A mixture of revision (dusting off some of those old skills) and looking at techniques, tips, etc. that we've encountered or picked up ourselves. A day for sharing!
NEW; Upgrade to PTLLS
Preparing to Teach in the Life Long Learning Sector (PTLLS) is the minimum qualification for teachers in many public sector situations. The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) have released a 2-day conversion qualification for anyone holding PTC/TSP, to upgrade to Level 3 PTLLS.
